Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026

11:01 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on Elm Street.

11:10 a.m. Police were alerted while the fire department responded to a structure fire on Main Street. There were no reported injuries.

2:29 p.m. Police received a report of illegal parking on West Main Street.

8:24 p.m. Police investigated an alleged failure to register a sex offense.

Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026

12:01 a.m. Police charged a 62-year-old Ansonia man with second-degree assault, second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct on Howard Avenue.

2:32 a.m. Police deployed a drone on Howard Avenue.

3:51 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on East Main Street.

6:50 p.m. Police carried out a search warrant at an undisclosed location.

6:59 p.m. Police received an animal complaint from Wakelee Avenue.

Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026

6:55 a.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Cedar Street.

2:16 p.m. Police initiated a missing person investigation. The juvenile reported missing was later found safe.

2:30 p.m. Police received a report of a possible weapon law violation on West Main Street.

5:52 p.m. Police received a report of theft from a motor vehicle on Hull Street.

9:01 p.m. Police charged a 59-year-old Derby man with second-degree breach of peace and two counts of risk of injury to a child on Wakelee Avenue.

9:23 p.m. Police charged Franky Coache-Hernandez, 49, of Stratford, with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and one count of risk of injury to a child. The charges were processed at the police station on Main Street.

Friday, Sept. 11, 2026

3:15 a.m. Officers were called to an address on East Main Street after an alarm went off.

6:32 a.m. Police were conducting radar enforcement in the area of Wakelee Avenue and Burton Street.

8:04 a.m. Police carried out a search warrant at an undisclosed location.

8:06 a.m. Officers were called to a motor vehicle accident on Howard Avenue.

5:40 p.m. Police attempted to stop a vehicle near Meadow Street.

Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026

4:02 a.m. Police received a report of a stolen motor vehicle from Reverend Taylor Drive.

9:30 a.m. Police received a report of a stolen motor vehicle from High Acres Road.

2:37 p.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Pershing Drive.

3:09 p.m. Police received a wildlife complaint from Clifford Drive.

7:21 p.m. A police dog was deployed during a stop on Wakelee Avenue.

Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026

11:48 a.m. Police were alerted to hazardous road conditions on Main Street.

4:50 p.m. A caller reported being harassed via an electronic device on Ford Street.

8:25 p.m. Officers responded to a juvenile matter on Sixth Street.

10:37 p.m. Police received a report of disorderly conduct on Hubbell Avenue.
