Leslie A. (Marcucio) Yuzwak, age 66, entered eternal rest on September 11, 2026, at her home in Seymour. She was the loving wife of Walter Yuzwak.
Born in Derby on March 27, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Arlene (Mitchell) Marcucio. Leslie grew up in Derby and graduated from Derby High School. She resided in Seymour for the past thirty-four years. Leslie was employed as a sales administrative analyst/business processor for Pitney Bowes in Trumbull and also worked for the last nine years as a customer integrity account manager for OCE Imagistics in Trumbull. Leslie was a loving and passionate mother who valued family above all else. She was a talented artist focusing on line drawings and painting, especially murals. Leslie was also the designated family photographer, capturing memories at parties and gatherings. Her favorite subject to take pictures of was her beautiful daughter. She was a gemologist at heart and had vast knowledge of gemstones and precious jewelry stones with a lifelong passion for collecting them. She also had a sizable collection of Barbie dolls. Leslie will lovingly be remembered as the “Queen of Halloween” because of her passion for the holiday. Her Halloween parties in her favorite costume, Elvira, were epic and full of ghoulish fun. She had a kind heart with a special affinity for cats and even cared for the strays at home. Leslie enjoyed listening to disco, especially Earth, Wind and Fire, trying her lucky numbers, scratch off tickets, and most of all watching Shark Week on Television.
In addition to her husband Walter, Leslie leaves to cherish her memory, loving daughter, Monique Yuzwak of Seymour, sister, Linda Narowski (Mark) of Oxford, nieces, Rachael Zarella (Michael) of Madison, CT and Meredith Narowski of NC, great niece and nephew, Arthur and Daphne Zarella, sister-in-law, Pricilla Cretella (Richard) of Beacon Falls and aunt and uncle, Joan and Jim DeMaio of Orange.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 4:00 pm, a funeral service and celebration of Leslie’s life will take place. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Leslie’s memory may be made directly to the Ansonia Animal Shelter, 1 North Division Street, Ansonia, CT 06401.
