Michael J. Estok, Jr., age 82, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the VA Hospital in West Haven. He was the devoted husband of the late June (Carlstrom) Estok. Michael was born in Derby on August 5, 1944, son of the late Michael J. and Florence Estok, and lived in Ansonia for most of his life. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Michael started his sales career in the wire and cable industry with the Kerite Company in Seymour, where he worked for many years. He retired from Autac Inc. in Branford in 2014.
He is the beloved father of Karen Doerner (Christopher), Carol Kovaleski, Christopher Estok (Patricia), and Kimberly Sharik (Michael), cherished pop pop of Matthew Kwiatkowski, Ashley Lee, Olivia Doerner, Gwendelyncot Kovaleski, Aimee Estok, Rebecca Sharik, Abigail Sharik, and Wayne Sharik, and proud great-grandfather to Cooper, Axel, Maverick, Blaze, River, Miles, and Carmen. He also leaves his cherished dog, Lucy.
The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. A graveside funeral service with Full Military Honors will be held at the Middletown State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 2 PM.
