SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from Sept. 28, 2026 through Oct. 4, 2026.

Seymour police received 225 calls for service and made four arrests.

SEPT. 28, 2026

11:12 – Police assisted a driver whose car became disabled on Clinton Road.

4:37 p.m. – A caller reported a case of credit card fraud.

5:52 p.m. – Police were called to a residence on Chamberlain Road for a verbal dispute.

6:25 p.m. – A bartender at Pub 67 reported a physical altercation in front of the establishment on West Street.

6:25 p.m. – Police charged a 28-year-old Oxford man with violation of a protective order.

8:51 p.m. – Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Bank Street.

SEPT. 29, 2026

2:48 a.m. – Police conducted cell phone enforcement on Bank Street.

8:56 a.m. – A Bank Street business owner told police a window in the building was vandalized.

2:57 p.m. – Police responded to a residence on Second Avenue for a medical emergency.

4:51 p.m. – A caller told police there was a severely injured deer walking in the area of Rennay Road.

7:15 p.m. – A MacConnie Court resident told police there was excessive noise coming from a construction site.

7:29 p.m. – Police conducted stop sign enforcement on Pearl and Pond streets.

11:59 p.m. – Police conducted speed enforcement on Roosevelt Drive and Jefferson Street.

SEPT. 30, 2026

1:10 p.m. – Police conducted radar on North Main Street.

3:25 p.m. – A caller reported a low hanging wire in the area of Forest and Mountain roads.

3:27 p.m. – Police received a 911 hang-up call from Bungay Elementary School, and confirmed it was a misdial.

4:25 p.m. – Police charged a 38-year-old Seymour man with sixth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer and resisting arrest.

9:19 p.m. – Police charged 32-year-old Ansonia woman with third-degree larceny and theft of a companion animal.

OCT. 1, 2026

7:56 a.m. – Police conducted speed enforcement near Chatfield-LoPresti School on Skokorat Street for about 25 minutes and observed no violations.

9:44 a.m. – A caller told police a dump truck accidentally dropped stone all over the roadway on Broad and River streets.

2:43 p.m. – Police received a walk-in complaint from a woman who said her accounts had fraudulent activity on them.

9:40 p.m. – Police said an individual was slumped over the wheel of their car on West Street but refused medical attention. Police said there were no further issues.

10:11 p.m. – Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Mountain Road.

OCT. 2, 2026

12:44 a.m. – Police responded to a residence on New Street for a medical emergency.

8:13 a.m. – Police conducted speed enforcement on Bungay Road for about 25 minutes and observed no violations.

10:56 a.m. – Police received a 911 hang-up call from Seymour High School and confirmed it was a misdial.

11:50 a.m. – A Balance Rock Road resident told police someone may have used their name to purchase a vehicle out of state.

1:30 p.m. – An Eastwood Drive resident told police her computer was hacked.

6:10 pm. – Police conducted speed enforcement on Skokorat Street.

8:08 p.m. – A caller told police his black lab puppy ran away. The puppy was located and returned home.

OCT. 3, 2026

11:36 a.m. – A caller told police someone in a silver Volvo was driving erratically in the area of Bank and Franklin streets. Police said the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.

1:49 p.m. – Police conducted speed enforcement on South Main Street near Colony Road.

4 p.m. – Police were called to a residence on Balance Rock Road for a medical emergency.

4:15 p.m. – A caller told police a car parked at a West Street business was smoking and the owner was inside a store.

7:52 p.m. – Police conducted speed enforcement on Derby Avenue.

10:23 p.m. – A caller told police there was verbal dispute between several males on North Street. Police said the men were gone upon their arrival.

11:37 p.m. – Police were called to a residence on Dolan Road for a medical emergency.

OCT. 4, 2026

1:30 a.m. – Police charged Chassidy Fernandez, 32, of Beacon Falls, with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs and making an improper turn. She was arrested on New Haven Road (Route 67).

5:52 a.m. – Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident on New Haven Road (Route 67) near Skokorat Street.

7:11 a.m. – Police were called to Dunkin Donuts on New Haven Road (Route 67) for a medical emergency.

8:26 a.m. – Police conducted traffic enforcement on Holbrook Road.

11:09 a.m. – A caller told police an elderly man in a blue van was passed out or having medical issues in the Stop & Shop parking lot on Franklin Street. An officer checked on the man and said he was sleeping in the car while waiting for his passenger to finish shopping.

1:28 p.m. – A caller told police there were dogs off their leashes at French Memorial Park, which is against park rules, and was concerned there would be a dog fight. Police said the dogs were on leashes and there were no issues.

11:31 p.m. – An Eleanor Road resident told police several males in a white Ford Focus were looking into cars in the neighborhood. An officer said the car was heading into Woodbridge and notified Woodbridge Police.
