From now until Dec. 31, any money you donate to the Online Journalism Project — the nonprofit that runs the Independent, the Valley Independent Sentinel, WNHH FM, and the Midbrow arts reviewing network — can be matched dollar for dollar up to $1,000.
That’s because we’re participating in “NewsMatch,” a national fundraising effort that helps nonprofit newsrooms like ours get some extra cash from our audience.
In addition to dollar-for-dollar matching, any new monthly subscription is matched 12 times.
And, as always, your donations are tax deductible.
We know you’ve spent enough money this year already. But if you have a few extra dollars (or more), our goal is to raise $18,000, which would qualify us for the maximum match. You’ve helped us do it before.
These end-of-year dollars help fund our exclusive reporting on everything from honor rolls to restaurant openings to investigations.
