In a town with the population of over 12,000 only 1,532 turn out to vote. Would be nice if more people opted to carry out the rights that so many have fought to preserve. Anyway, nice job to those involved, especially the Board of Ed. Containing costs and reducing class sizes…thank you.
I agree it’s wonderful the budgets and roof passed and I think a large portion of the credit should go to all the economic development Oxford has experienced over the past 15 years (starting with Kate Cosgrove). Econ Dev allows Oxford to grow the budget without adversely effecting the mill rate. Econ Dev has occurred over many administrations both Rep. and Dem. and let’s hope we keep that pro-growth attitude.
