SEYMOUR – Police charged a 43-year-old resident Aug. 19 with one count of first-degree possession of child sexual abuse material, a felony.
The suspect, Sean Cable, is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18 in Superior Court in Milford. He was being held on a $75,000 bond as of Aug. 27.
Police said they started an investigation into Cable after receiving information from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, a national network of law enforcement personnel who investigate crimes against kids.
Police obtained a search warrant for Cable’s electronic equipment, where they allegedly recovered one video and four photos of child sexual abuse. Police also seized cellular devices and a computer from Cable’s residence.
Police said they were assisted in the case by Homeland Security Investigations.
