Transfer Station, City Yard Closed Christmas And New Year’s
There will be NO TRASH & RECYCLING COLLECTION in Shelton on
Thursday, December 25, 2025 Christmas Day, and Thursday, January 1, 2026 New Year’s Day.
Wednesday’s Collection for both Holiday weeks will be 1 day late.
For the rest of the week, residents are advised to put out their Trash & Recycling on their normal scheduled day.
If it is not picked up on that day, it will be on the following day, possibly extending into Saturday.
The Transfer Station and the City Yard will be CLOSED on Thursday, December 25, 2025 and on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Christmas Tree Pickup Information
Christmas Tree CURBSIDE pickup will be during the week of Monday, January 5, thru Friday, January 9, 2026. ON THE SAME DAY AS YOUR SCHEDULED TRASH PICKUP

Trees may be brought to the TRANSFER STATION Monday-Saturday, 7 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
OR
To the COMPOST SITE open Monday-Friday 7 A.M. – 2 P.M. this week only.
