Walter Harold Rich, Jr., age 74 of Woodbridge, died peacefully on November 25, 2025
at Griffin Hospital, Derby. Born in New Haven on May 14, 1951, he was the son of the
late Walter Harold Rich, Sr. and Nancy Root Rich. Mr. Rich was a lifelong resident of
Woodbridge and worked for over 50 years in the family business as a self-employed
building contractor. In his younger days, Mr. Rich enjoyed bowling and competed in
bowling leagues of the greater New Haven area. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed
hunting and fishing and kept busy during his senior years working in landscaping. He
is survived by his devoted sons, Walter H. Rich III of CA and Mark J. Rich of
Woodbridge; brothers, Scott Rich of MA and Steven Rich of Woodbridge; cherished
granddaughters, Paulette Rich of Woodbridge and Emily Rich of Ansonia; as well as
several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at
the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Funeral services
will take place at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Northwest Cemetery, Seymour Rd.
