Isabella G. Dobbins, age 86, entered eternal rest on December 15, 2025, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side.
Isabella was born at home in Ansonia on October 8, 1939, daughter of the late Edmund B. Dojnia Sr. and Mildred (Davies) Dojnia. She was raised in Ansonia and graduated from Ansonia High School. A resident of Seymour for fifty-five years, she was employed as an office manager at Samarius Precision Instruments formerly in Derby and later at Adam’s Supermarket as well as a former Stanley Products dealer. Isabella was an avid reader and loved to decorate her home for each holiday, especially Christmas. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and was a fan of Elvis Presley, Kenny Rogers, and Sam Elliott. Many trips to Walt Disney World in Florida with her family were most treasured.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Lawrence M. Dobbins and Troy R. Dobbins of Seymour, sister, Marion Drewelus of Seymour, grandchildren, Deanna L. Dobbins of Seymour, Danielle Hein (Bill) of Beacon Falls, and Alexis Dobbins of Derby, great-grandsons, Tristyn Lapke and Kaison Baez, sister-in-law, Patricia Dojnia of Ansonia, former daughter-in-law, Kathy Gracy of Rotonda West, FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Kirk E. Dobbins, granddaughter, Pamela Marie Gracy, brothers, John A. “Jack” Dojnia, Edmund “Sonny” Dojnia, and Stanley “Buddy” Dojnia, and a sister, Shirley Dunn.
Visiting hours will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 11:00 am, a funeral service in celebration of Isabella’s life will take place in the chapel. Committal prayers and interment will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
