Raymond E. Lewis, age 76, a lifelong resident of Seymour, entered eternal rest on February 4, 2026, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the beloved husband of Karen J. (Pawlak) Lewis.

Born in Derby on September 13, 1949, he was the son of the late Edward and Irene (Labrie) Lewis. Raymond was employed in general utilities at the former Bridgeport Hydraulic, now Aquarion, for many years until his retirement in 2005. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. Raymond enjoyed traveling. He took frequent trips to Niagara Falls, California wine country, and annual trips to Walt Disney World. He was a member of Emil Senger American Legion Post 10 in Seymour. Ray was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, and UCONN women’s and men’s basketball attending several NCAA Final Four games. He was also a NASCAR fan.

In addition to his wife Karen, Raymond leaves to cherish his memory, son, Wayne D. Lewis (Jessica) of Naugatuck, daughter, Tracy Bloschichak (Ted) of Cheshire, brother, Randi Lewis of Seymour, grandchildren, Leah Bloschichak and Lara Bloschichak both of Cheshire and James Lewis of Naugatuck along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Lewis.

Raymond’s funeral service and burial in the Connecticut State Veterans’ Cemetery in Middletown will be private and at the convenience of the family. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia was privileged with the arrangements.
