Alan P. Enquist, age 74 of Beacon Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday , April 29, 2026. He was a son of the late Howard K. and Helen (Rabenko) Enquist.
Alan attended Laurel Ledge Grammar School in Beacon Falls, and Graduated
in 1970 from Seymour High School. Alan was a retired customer service representative for Risdon Manufacturing , having been the only employer he ever worked for since a young age. A US Army MP Veteran, Alan proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Alan was a Life Member of the Seymour VFW Post #12084. He was a dedicated member of the Oxford American Legion Post #174, finding great comfort with his fellow comrades. He enjoyed dressing up each Christmas as Santa Claus for the children of the community. Alan was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and enjoyed golfing with his brothers and friends. Also was in a bowling league over the years and darts. Alan was active in the community. You could see Alan driving his 1965 GTO to Cruises and Car Shows. He was always there to give a helping hand including taking his friends to the VA Hospital. Alan also was a bartender at the Trestle Tavern in Seymour. His friends called him CHO CHO. Also a member of the Concordia Singing Society Seymour.
Alan is survived by his loving Brother Howard of Seymour and John Enquist and his wife Barbara of Beacon Falls. Sister in Law Joyce Enquist (David) and Sandy Enquist (Norman). Nieces Tammy Enquist, Nanci Patchkofsky(Paul Mena) Cheryl Elm (Mark) Amy Zachlod (Mark). Nephews, Bobby Enquist & Erik Enquist (Melissa) & Brian Parsons.Alan’s Adorned Great Nieces ,Siena, Emma, Cori & Allison. Great Nephews, Robert and Tyler. Several Cousins and Friends. In addition to his parents, Alan was predeceased by his brothers, Norman & David Enquist.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 with a celebration of his life and military honors taking place at 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Alan’s honor may be made to the Oxford American Legion Post #174.
