David G. Shultis, Jr., age 24, of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. David was born in Norwich on December 1, 2001, son of David G. Shultis S. and late mother Lisa Zacharski. He grew up in the St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services community. For many years, he attended the Feroleto School and lived at the St. Vincent’s Special Needs children’s group home. David later transitioned to residing in Shelton at a Community Residences, Inc (CRI) adult group home and attending the day program at the Disability Resource Network. A special thank you goes out to David’s residence and day programs who have cared for him and celebrated him daily.
David enjoyed listening to country music. He loved taking walks and going on swings. David was always a big foodie, and could endlessly eat pasta and mashed potatoes. David was known for his big smile, and always humming a tune.
He is survived by his grandmother, Colleen Little, a brother, Michael Shultis, and two guardians, Andrea DeMeo and Marisa Deptula.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 5 to 6 PM. A memorial service will begin in the parlor at 6 PM.
