Paul L. DelPo, age 82, entered eternal rest on September 8, 2026, at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. He was the beloved husband of Dorene (Dzwonchyk) DelPo.
Born in Waterbury on August 26, 1944, he was the son of the late D. Paul and Katherine (Giugno) DelPo. Paul grew up in Seymour. He graduated from Seymour High School then went on to attend the Paier College of Art in Bridgeport. Paul resided in Ansonia for some time before moving to Naugatuck in 1989. He was employed as a tool crib attendant at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for thirty years until his retirement.
A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Army. He held a deep reverence for military history and a lifelong dedication to remembering the sacrifices of those who served.
Paul enjoyed swimming, weightlifting and was always up for a really good meal. His happiest days were spent fishing with his sons making lasting memories. Alongside his wife Dorene, Paul loved traveling especially to Cape Cod, Maine and sailed several memorable cruises. He also liked to spend time camping at Lone Oak Camp Ground in Canaan, CT. He will be lovingly missed.
In addition to his wife Dorene, Paul leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Paul C. DelPo (Gayle) of Naugatuck and Todd M. DelPo (Ilisa) of Woodbridge, grandchildren, Lillian, Paul and Jack DelPo all of Naugatuck and Sydney, Brody and Cameron DelPo, all of Woodbridge along with several nieces and nephews, He was predeceased by brothers, Robert and Gary DelPo.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday morning, all are invited to attend a funeral service in celebration of Paul’s life beginning at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. United States Army military honors will be accorded. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul’s memory may be made directly to the Michael J.
