Patricia C. Horvath, age 83, of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Yale -New Haven Hospital. She was the devoted wife of 34 years to the late Michael R. Horvath.
Patricia was born in Bridgeport on August 6, 1943, daughter of the late Joseph and Saveria (Macaluso) Vertucci, and lived in Shelton most of her life.
She worked for many years as the office manager for Brainard Plumbing in Shelton. Patricia was forever devoted to her family, and loved being “Grams” to her cherished grandchildren.
She is the beloved mother of Matthew Horvath, grandmother to Veronica and Evan Horvath, and great-grandmother of Trey Cruz. She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Spetrino. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Patricia was predeceased by cherished son, Michael Horvath, and grandson, Matthew Horvath. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Patrick Spetrino.
The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, was entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial directly at St. Joseph Church, 50 Fairmont Place, Shelton, on Friday, October 9th at 10:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
