DERBY — This Halloween (October 31st), Derby Neck Library is hosting our annual Boo Bash, with a few upgrades!
Drop in any time between 3:00 and 6:00 to enjoy the festivities before heading out to trick-or-treat or attend spooktacular parties. Costumes are encouraged!

Like in previous years, we are providing custom-designed tote bags that you can color and decorate before filling them up with candy, treats, books, and other fun goodies. We’ll also have free hot chocolate to warm you up before hitting the cool, fall evening air.
Just in case you’re worried about not getting enough sugar on Halloween night, we’re kicking the afternoon off with a candy sushi workshop from 3:00-4:00.
Then, we will welcome our special guests: Jeepers Creepers from Riverside Reptile Education Center! There will be live animals — creepy crawlers, like snakes and lizards — that you can view and touch. Those presentations will be at 4:00 and 4:45.
Plus, we’re running a door raffle this year. Everyone who attends gets a shot at winning a fabulous Scooby Doo-themed prize basket!
Lastly, Derby Neck Library is located right next to Derby High School, where Derby Police Department is hosting its Touch-a-Truck event from 11am-3pm. Attend both for a fun-filled Halloween day with the family!
We hope to see you there!
