If You Know Something, Come Forward And Help Solve This Boy’s Killing

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whomever is responsible for killing 15-year-old Kristjan Ndoj, of Shelton.

Anyone with information should call state police at 860 – 685-8190 or 800 – 842-0200.

The Shelton High School student was shot in a driveway at 1 Agawam Trail in the Pine Rock Park section of Shelton the night of March 15.

He didn’t live there, but was visiting friends.

Kristjan died at Bridgeport Hospital March 20. The medical examiner’s office ruled the death a homicide.

The state’s Division of Criminal Justice announced the reward in a prepared statement issued Thursday.

The $50,000 reward, which is the maximum allowed under state law, was authorized by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy at the request of Kevin D. Lawlor, State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Ansonia-Milford,” according to the press release.

Hopefully, this will generate information that will lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of whoever committed this horrific crime,” Lawlor said in the statement.

Police chased a number of leads immediately after the shooting, but none have resulted in an arrest. The press release Thursday stresses the investigation is still active.

The origin of the shots that killed Ndoj were fired from a wooded area some 150 feet away.

Sources previously told the Valley Indy a shotgun was used to commit the crime. In addition, the investigation early on concentrated on a man who lives in the neighborhood.

In May, Michael Boynton, a lawyer who has served as the Ndoj family spokesman, told the Valley Indy the departed boy’s family is understandably frustrated” because the identity of their son’s killer remains a mystery.

More than 300 people attended the boy’s funeral Mass in Shelton in March. Mourners told stories of what a good boy the teen was, stressing the senseless nature of what happened.
