A motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash Thursday morning.
In a prepared statement, Shelton Police Detective Christopher Nugent said police responded to a serious accident in the area of 122 River Road about 6:45 a.m.
“The accident involved a motor vehicle and a motorcycle,” Nugent said. “The operator of the motorcycle was transported to Bridgeport hospital with serious injuries.”
Nugent said Route 110 was currently blocked off from Grove Street to Belmont Avenue as the Shelton Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team investigated.
He asked that anyone who witnessed or has information regarding the accident to contact the Shelton Police Department Traffic Division 203 – 924-1544.
