No Injuries Reported In Shelton House Fire

SHELTON — No injuries were reported after a house fire on Oak Avenue on Monday (Feb. 19).

The fire marshal is investigating the cause and origin of the blaze, which was reported by multiple callers at about 10:30 a.m.

The first firefighters on scene could see fire engulfing parts of the residence.

As apparatus arrived, the visible fire was extinguished and members made entry into the home to find a minor smoke condition and no fire,” according to a Facebook post from the Shelton Fire Department. Crews ventilated the smoke and metered for toxic gases as additional members checked for fire extension via overhaul.”

Firefighters were on scene for about an hour. Shelton Fire Department Assistant Chief Bob Finta was the incident commander. About 20 firefighters were on scene, as well as Shelton Echo Hose Ambulance.
