Right Lane Closure On Route 8 North And Southbound In Shelton

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that an Aerial Cable Maintenance Operation will require the closure of the right lane of Route 8 northbound between exits 11 (Huntington Road) and exit 13 Constitution Blvd. South) and Route 8 southbound between exits 13 (Bridgeport Avenue) and exit 11 (Bridgeport Avenue) in Shelton. 

The daytime work is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, March 19, and Wednesday, March 20, 2024.The Aerial Cable Maintenance Operation will be performed by United Illuminating.

LANE CLOSURE INFO: Motorists can expect right lane closures to occur on Route 8 north and southbound in Shelton Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday-Wednesday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
