SEYMOUR — Police are investigating a likely murder-suicide that was discovered Tuesday, March 29 within a residence at 33 Manners Ave.
No names have been released.
Police received a 911 call at 9:49 p.m. reporting two deceased elderly people in the house.
“Officers responded and made contact with the male caller who stated that he was concerned about his parents and could not get in touch with them,” according to a statement from Seymour police.
The son drove to the house and made the discovery, then called 911.
Police said the investigation so far indicates the deaths are “likely a domestic-related murder suicide.”
Police said the victims were husband and wife. The husband was 80 years old and the wife was 78 years old.
Seymour detectives are probing the case with assistance from the state police major case squad, which was called to the scene to process evidence.
Seymour Police Chief John Bucherati said there is no history of calls related to domestic violence from the address.
