Shelton Fire Marshal James Tortora submitted the following summary of the Shelton Volunteer Fire Department’s calls from last week.
On 10/15/18 at 1:08 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #19 Daybreak Lane for a fire in a garbage can outside the home. The fire was out upon arrival of firefighters. Hot ashes from a fireplace that were placed in a plastic container caused the fire. Two engines responded.
On 10/15/18 at 3:29 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to #87 Cold Spring Circle for a fire alarm activation. There was no fire. a ladder pumper responded.
On 10/15/18 at 7:09 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #6 Cameo Drive for a carbon monoxide alarm activation. An engine responded.
On 10/16/18 at 7:50 am the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #139 Longfellow Road for an electrical hazard; wires down in the road. An engine responded.
On 10/16/18 at 6:29 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to #2 Peach Tree Lane for a fire alarm activation. There was no fire. a ladder pumper responded.
On 10/17/18 at 7:30 am the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to 330 Beard saw Mill Road for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. An engine responded.
On 10/18/18 at 2:11 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to #91 Howe Avenue for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. A rescue pumper responded.
