Three semi-automatic handguns were stolen from a downtown Shelton gun store early Wednesday.
In a prepared statement, Shelton Detective Richard Bango said police responded to an alarm at Valley Firearms, 549 Howe Ave., about 4:30 a.m.
“The suspect threw a brick through the front glass door to gain entry, then broke a glass display case and stole three new semi-automatic handguns,” Bango’s statement said.
The suspect then through the business’ front door.
Detectives are now investigating the burglary. Police asked anyone with information regarding the break-in to call 203 – 924-1544.
Police said calls will be kept confidential.
