Shelton Police Identify Teen Stabbing Victim

SHELTON — Police on Monday identified a 17-year-old stabbed to death on Laurel Glen Drive as James McGrath, of Shelton.

The investigation is active and ongoing and updates will be sent out in the near future,” according to a prepared statement from Detective Richard Bango.

According to police, McGrath was one of four people stabbed late Saturday (May 14) in a residential neighborhood on Laurel Glen Drive. Police responded to the scene at 11:55 p.m.

The other three victims received medical attention and were sent to a hospital.

McGrath was a junior at Fairfield Prep, where students and staff are mourning his loss.
