Spots Open For Boys & Girls Club Of The Lower Naugatuck Valley John “Red” Larsen Golf Classic

SHELTON – The Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley will be holding its annual John Red” Larsen Golf Classic on August 14. Presented by sponsors Mason Technologies Inc. and the Luise-Champagne Family, the event will be held at Racebrook Country Club in Orange, a new venue for the long-running charity golf tournament, and a few foursomes are still available.

Tournament check in runs from 8 – 10 am, giving golfers plenty of time to take advantage of Racebrook’s driving range. The tournament starts at 10 am. Entry fee of $300 per golfer includes 18 holes of golf and cart, driving range, drinks and hot breakfast sandwiches before the tournament, refreshments on the course, cocktail hour and BBQ lunch after golf, and a golfer’s gift. Prizes will be awarded to the top golfers. Raffle tickets will be on sale and the silent auction will be open before and after the tournament. Registration will be capped at 30 foursomes.

Proceeds from the golf classic benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley, which has been changing the lives of young people in the Valley for more than 65 years. With programs ranging from homework assistance to nutrition to workforce development, the Club helps all young people to reach their full potential, but especially those from disadvantaged circumstances.
