Shelton Student Wins Essay Contest

Mallory Doyle, an 8th grade student at Holy Trinity Catholic Academy, Shelton earned top honors for the Middle School Essay category of Constituting America’s We the Future” contest. 

As a national winner, Mallory joined other winners on a recent trip to Austin, Texas to meet with mentors in her field, dine with a constitutional scholar and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

Founded by Actress Janine Turner and co-chaired by Janine and Cathy Gillespie, Constituting America is a non-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to utilize the culture and multi-media outreach such as music, film, television, internet, and social media to reach, educate and inform America’s adults and students about the non-partisan relevancy of the U.S. Constitution and the foundation it sets forth regarding our freedoms and rights.
