Alexander Buccini

Alexander Buccini, age 85, of Oxford, the beloved husband of 55 years to Ruth Turmel Buccini, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was born in Waterbury on August 6, 1932, son of the late James and Phyllis Apicella Buccini. 

Alexander served in the Navy in the Korean War. He worked as a maintenance machinist for Scovill’s for 37 years. He was an avid hunter his entire adult life. When he wasn’t hunting, he loved his ice cream, chocolate, TV and recliner. 

In addition to his loving wife Ruth, Alexander leaves his daughters, Jackie Buccini and Renee Bonetti, and his granddaughter, Nicole Bonetti, his sister, Phyllis Deluca and her husband Richard as well as numerous sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews, and godchildren. 

A Funeral Mass in Celebration of Alexander’s Life will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road, Oxford. All other services will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Alexander may be made to the Brothers of Holy Cross, 1101 St. Edwards Drive, Austin, TX 78704.
