Barbara Van Etten, an 83 year old Seymour resident and wife of the late Robert Van Etten, passed away at home on March 24 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Aug. 24, 1940 in Derby, daughter of the late Henry and Frances Rugola Hallet.
She worked as a supervisor for the former Life Touch Studios in Derby, and was an avid parishioner of The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Lillian Chrostowski. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Diane Van Etten of Oxford, Richard Van Etten of Seymour and Robert Van Etten of Las Vegas, and grandchildren Jake & Jennifer Van Etten.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 NOON on Wednesday at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to ‘The Guiding Eyes for the Blind’ through the funeral home.
