Catherine Bedini

Catherine (Trimarchi) Bedini, 93, formerly of Derby passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024. The daughter of the late Vincenzo and Antoinette Trimarchi, she was born in Derby on January 20, 1931.

Catherine is reunited with her husband of 63 years Lou, who surely welcomed her at Heaven’s gate. From the day Lou left us until the day they reconnected she lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but always hoped for this time to come when they would be Together Forever”. They are missed more than words can express, but their spirit, traditions and life lessons will be with those who follow for generations to come.

Catherine was a quiet leader for her family providing insight and direction in subtle ways. A thoughtful person she made sure over these last few years that everyone important in her life received something to remember her by. She loved dancing with her husband, listening to big band music and family dinners in the Italian tradition with generations old family recipes.

Catherine is survived by her children, Louis Bedini Jr. (Denise), Ken Bedini (Bev) and Donna Lyons; her grandchildren Louis Bedini (Genevieve), Lauren Slater (Rob), Robert Bedini (Sarah), Kyle Bedini (Marissa) and Daniel Lyons (Margarita); her great grandchildren Lilyana, Emma Catherine, Maya, Parker, Eli, Taylor and Sydney Kay. Besides her husband she was predeceased her grandson Kolby, brothers Joseph Trimarchi, Charles Trimarchi, Anthony Trimarchi, Michael Trimarchi, Dominick Trimarchi, and sisters Marie Trimarchi, Rose Affie, Mary DiMauro and Rachael Bedini.

Catherine very much valued her special relationship with two sisters in law Betty Sorcinelli (deceased) and Angie Trimarchi, who were like sisters and best friends over many years.

We would like to thank the staff at Gardner Heights for their compassionate care for Catherine during her residence there and to the Hartford Healthcare Hospice staff for helping Catherine maintain her dignity in her final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby on Tuesday, April 2nd from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Derby at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.
