Dominic Matto, age 51, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2020, in his home. He was the beloved life partner of Kathleen Dunn of New Milford.
Dominic was born in Derby on October 1, 1969, beloved son of Rosaria Guglielmi Matto of Ansonia and the late John J. “Babe” Matto. He was a graduate of Ansonia High School in 1987, where he excelled on the gridiron. Dominic worked as an electrician, was a classic car enthusiast and an avid fan of the NY Giants and NY Yankees. He especially enjoyed traveling to Italy to visit with family and friends.
In addition to his mother Rosaria and partner, Kathleen, he is survived by a loving son, Nicholas G. Matto of Shelton, brothers, John J. Matto Jr., Mark A. Matto and Robert Matto, three nephews, one niece, numerous cousins and countless friends.
Due to the health concerns regarding the pandemic, the family has chosen for a private funeral service at this time. A memorial celebration of Dominic’s life will be announced by the family when a proper gathering can be held. His entombment will take place alongside his father in Mount Saint Peter Mausoleum in Derby.
