Joseph Patrick Constantino, IV — “Joey” — age, 21, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at home. Joey was born on January 17, 2002, in Bridgeport CT. Joseph was diagnosed in 2018 with a rare heart condition caused by a rare genetic mutation. Joey lived his life fully despite this condition.
He was a lover of cats, especially his beloved Sydney, Mini and Lovebug. He loved to play video games with his friends. He worked at Harris Teeter and was a valued member of their team. Joey loved his family & friends immensely and was loved equally in return. His quirkiness endeared him to many that met him. To know Joey was to love him. He will always be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Joey is survived by his mother and stepfather, Christine & Marc Morra of Fuquay Varina, NC, his father, & stepmother, Joe & Janet Constantino of Shelton, CT, his siblings, Victoria Constantino, Zaccheri Morra, Julia Morra, Jaymes Morra and Nathaniel Constantino. He is also survived by his grandparents, Loraine Swartz of Fuquay Varina, NC, Madeleine Constantino of Shelton CT and Sal & Lucy Morra of Cary, NC. He also leaves behind his aunts, uncles, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Timothy Walter Swartz, his maternal grandfather, James A. Swartz and his paternal grandfather, Joseph P. Constantino Jr.
Friends and family are invited to attend Joey’s graveside funeral service on Saturday March 23 at 11:00 AM in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joseph’s name to support research at the Duke Pediatric & Congenital Heart Center.
