Karen Jean Drozd, age 61 of West Haven, formerly of Derby entered into eternal rest on Monday March 18, 2024 in Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Derby on August 13, 1962, beloved daughter of John and Jean (Esposito) Drozd, and was a resident of Derby before moving to West Haven 18 years ago.
Karen graduated from Post University with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
She was a Travel Agent with Traveland Agency for 32 years. Karen loved attending rock concerts, especially her favorite band Journey. She traveled the world to every continent but one. She planned many trips for her family and friends and most of all most importantly to her was the love of her family.
She is the loving sister of Gary Drozd and Melissa Tottenham Drozd and aunt of Jimmy Drozd and his wife Tarah Faust Drozd , Jason Drozd and his girlfriend Meghan Giamundo, Jacob Drozd and his wife Melissa Babina Drozd and Jeffrey Drozd and the love of her life her great niece and nephew Jaelynn Drozd and Jebediah Drozd.
Friends may call on Thursday March 21, 2024 from 4 to 7 pm at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Friday 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary Church, Derby. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Garden Mausoleum, Derby.
