Loraine L. North, age 91, of Shelton, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024, at Manor Lake Bridge Mill in Canton, GA., with her family by her side. Born on March 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Adam F. and Miriam M. (Zwoyer) Schuessler. She was predeceased by husband Robert North and brother George Schuessler.
Loraine was a Shelton High School graduate and retired as an Inspector from Pop Fastner/ Black and Decker in Shelton. Loraine was always active, always vibrant! She was hardworking, courageous, patient, and generous. She had a kind heart and a silly sense of humor. Loraine was an active member of her church, she enjoyed walks on the West Haven and Milford beaches, swimming with friends, exploring the Connecticut landscape, craft shows, visiting and spending time with her family.
She is the beloved mother of Debra (Rick) Woodring, David (Joyce) Parker, Donald Parker, Dawn (Gary) Tiscia, Daniel (Lisa) Parker.
She also leaves behind 8 cherished grandchildren, Christopher (Nicki) Sefik, Rachel (Jeffery) Holt, Amy, Kirsten and Serenity Parker, Gary (Heather) Tiscia, Jamie (Andrew) Steck, Samantha (Kevin) Smith, Ethan Placella and 10 treasured great-grandchildren.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Saturday, April 27th from 10:00AM to 10:30 AM. Her funeral service will begin in the parlor at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
