Maureen McElroy, age 90, of Bethlehem, entered into rest on Monday, March 25, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Pennsylvania on September 21, 1933 daughter of the late Paul and Sally (Halverson) McElroy. Maureen was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, traveling and going to the casino. Most all all, she cherished spending time with her family.
She was the beloved mother of William Scollin, John Scollin and his wife Denise, Maureen Scollin, Debbie Eye and Kathy Petito, loving grandmother of Lisa Todd, P.J. Capece, Cassie Boisvert, Julianna Petito, John Michael Scollin, Patti Brennan, Amber Bjerke, Erika Bjerke and Kim Scollin and 9 great grandchildren. She was also survived by two sister-in-laws Vivian McElroy and Marlene McElroy, a brother-in-law Tom Pechkiss and several nieces and nephews.
Maureen was predeceased by a son Richard Scollin, a daughter Nancy Scollin, two brothers John and Paul McElroy, three sisters Patricia Rainville, Kathy Pechkiss and Margaret Doyle and a son-in-law Tim Eye.
On Wednesday, friends may call from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Thursday, her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
