Maurice D. LePage

Maurice D. LePage, age 91, peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday, March 29, 2024, at The Village at East Farms in Waterbury. He was the beloved husband of Simone Thibault LePage.

Maurice was born in Lewiston, Maine on February 23, 1933, son of the late John and Laura Maheux LePage. A resident of Derby since 1967, he was employed as an expeditor at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for forty-two years, until his retirement in 1998. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955.

He was a member of the American Legion. After retirement, Maurice loved to travel and be close to the ocean. They spent their winter months in Sarasota, FL, basking in the sun and swimming in the warm ocean water. He enjoyed listening to music, especially the beautiful singing voice of his wife, dancing every weekend, and attending concerts on the Derby Green in the summer. He loved animals and bred Siberian Huskies in his younger years.

In addition to his wife Simone, he leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Richard J. LePage of Naugatuck, a daughter, Joyce R. LePage Zdanowski (Robert) of Waterbury, a sister, Lucille Gauthier of MA, grandchildren, Laura Tortora (Mark) of Middlebury, Paul Zdanowski (Yvonne) of the Netherlands, Justin LePage (Libby) of Louisville, KY, and Kayla LePage of Naugatuck, great-grandchildren, Alessandra, Sybil, and Elias Tortora, Emma and Robert Zdanowski, and Abagail and Timothy LePage as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
