Susan F. Callahan (Pagliaro)

Susan F. Callahan (Pagliaro), 67, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Shelton, passed away after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease, surrounded by her loving family on March 15, 2024. She was the devoted wife of 44 years to Robert Callahan. 

Born in Derby on August 16, 1956 and raised in Shelton by her beloved parents Lousie (DeLallo) Pagliaro and the late Anthony Pagliaro. 

Susan was a creative spirit and a realtor who cherished the connections she made. Her vibrant presence and boundless energy brought joy to the lives of many. Known for her fierce love for her family, her ability to light up any room with her enthusiasm, and her passion for making everyone feel at home, Susan’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched. Whether telling stories, closing deals or hosting family gatherings, she did it with unmatched enthusiasm and a smile that could brighten the darkest days. 

Susan’s memory will be a beacon of love, creativity, and witty banter for all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was the loving mother of one son Sean Callahan and his wife Florida; one daughter, Nicole Carvalho and her husband Nuno. Proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Alexander, Anthony, and Ayden Callahan, Dominic, Genevieve, and Leonardo Carvalho, who will miss their Nunu dearly. Beloved sister of Judith (Pagliaro) Bures, Nancy Pagliaro and Anthony Pagliaro Jr.; as well as many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish the memories of her energetic and loving spirit.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Susan’s life on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11 a.m., at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave, Shelton.
