Tessie Ribas, age 93, of Shelton, peacefully entered into rest on Monday, January 27, 2019, in her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony R. Ribas. Tessie was born in Shelton on October 26, 1926, daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Cirkot, and was a lifelong Shelton resident.
She worked for ten years at the Methodist Home and enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends. Above all, she was devoted to her family.
She is the beloved mother of Darlene Chrzanowski and husband Ray and Anita French and husband George. She also leaves four cherished grandsons, Peter Chrzanowski and wife Diane, Jason Chrzanowski and wife Allison, George French and companion Heather Landolfi, and her devoted caregiver Robert French, three greatgrandchildren, Christopher Cavagnuolo, R.J. Chrzanowski, and Ashley Chrzanowski, her brother, John Cirkot, her sister, Ann Dubrava, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 AM. Her procession will then leave the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 Am at St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
