Virginia (Sabre) Speciale

Virginia (Sabre) Speciale, age 91, of Seymour, formerly of Ansonia, peacefully entered eternal rest on April 2, 2024, at her home, with her loving children by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Speciale.

Virginia was born in Fairfield, CT, on January 26, 1933, daughter of the late Annette Bennett Sabre. She was employed at Amity High School, Griffin Hospital and Team, Inc., for many years until her retirement. She was known for her unwavering kindness and dedication to help others. Virginia’s hobbies included cooking, baking, and shopping. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and her cats.

Virginia is survived by her loving children, Glenn Speciale of Seymour, and Donna Tiano (John Nomack), of Seymour, her cherished grandchildren, Ray Rosso of Ansonia, Michael and Kelly Musial of Seymour, and great-granddaughter, Taylor, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband Joseph, and mother Annette, she was predeceased by her daughter, Victoria Rosso, sisters, Ann Fernandez and Shirley Kaufman and brothers, Joseph, and Roland Sabre.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 12:00 noon, a funeral service in celebration of Virgina’s life will take place with Reverend Jeffrey Gubbiotti officiating. Entombment will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Mausoleum in Derby. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Virginia’s name may be made directly to C.A.R.E.S.
