A 23-year-old man was in stable condition after being shot in Ansonia Tuesday night.
Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch said Griffin Hospital notified police about 7:38 p.m. that the man had been taken to the hospital after being shot at 112 Central St.
The man was then transferred to Bridgeport Hospital, Lynch said.
The man was shot in the stomach, Lynch said.
Patrol officers and detectives were at the scene Tuesday investigating.
Lynch said police will release more information when it becomes available.
