Two Valley residents died in a motorcycle crash on Route 110 in Stratford Sunday.

The Valley Indy has learned that the two people killed were Shane Morneau, of Derby and Lauren Laflamme, of Seymour.

The two were on a motorcycle that crashed at about 11 p.m. on Route 110 near Sikorsky Aircraft, where Morneau worked, according to his Facebook page.

It involved two motorcycles and a third vehicle. The Valley Indy was unable to get further information from the Stratford Police Department.

The Connecticut Post reported that Morneau’s bike collided head-on with a vehicle. Shrapnel from the bike hit a second motorcycle.

A passenger on the second motorcycle was in fair condition at Bridgeport Hospital, the Post reported.

Autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday, according to the state Medical Examiner’s Office.

Route 110 near the Shelton border was closed for some 11 hours as police investigated.
