First I want to say that I am PROUD to live in Ansonia.

I am proud to have the opportunity to serve my constituents for the past 14 years. I am proud to work with Jim Della Volpe as mayor. I am proud to have sent my children through the Ansonia school system. I am proud that they are all in college and doing well. I am proud that the Ansonia school system has prepared my children to meet their future college years head on!

I am proud that the boards of Aldermen and Apportionment and Taxation were able to hold taxes at a minimum over the past 14 years while still supporting education and other essential services to this town.

I love this town. I would not have volunteered my time all these years if I didn’t want to see a better future for all.

One of the best things this town has to offer is the positive people who live here. We have a strong community of hard-working people who take care of each other in times of need.

I respect everyone that contributes to making this a better place. I believe that combined positive efforts can make this a better town for all of us.

This is why I believe in the integrity of the Democratic slate and ask for your continued support on this upcoming Election Day.

Joe Jeanette, Jr.

  1. “I am proud that the boards of Aldermen and Apportionment and Taxation were able to hold taxes at a minimum over the past 14 years”

Seriously – Ninth highest tax rate in the state of CT – and don’t blame revaluation – every city and town also had to do it.

  2. I would like to say that I have known Joe Jeanette for over 20 years. His children and mine have grown up together in Ansonia. I have known Joe to be a tireless worker in anything he has ever been involved in. There have been too many times to mention when I have asked him where he was going that evening and the response has been..” I have a meeting.” Most of the time it has to do with the City of Ansonia. Aldermen and board members are not paid. They run for office or are apppointed and serve the citizens of our city. There have been many times that I have told Joe to let it go and start to enjoy yourself. I truly believe that he continues to sit on the Board of Aldermen and other boards because he does care deeply about the City of Ansonia. If I have learned anything at all being active in the city of Ansonia all of these years as my 3 daughters have gone through the Ansonia Public school system, it is that usually there are 2 groups. On one hand you have the workers. They are always there to lend a hand and to assist. On the other hand you have those who never help, always benefit from others hard work or just complain. I am proud to say that Joe Jeanette is and always has been a worker, always looking to help and make things better!
