DERBY — The following message was sent by Mayor Joseph DiMartino’s administration:
Hello Derby Residents, here is an update for 08-03-2025:
1. The Tax Assessor of the City of Derby would like to notify all residents that Data mailers for the 2025 state mandated revaluation were sent to all residential properties including condos. They should reach most homes by Monday. A draft of what the Data Mailers will look like is on the City’s Website. Any questions may be directed to the Tax Assessor’s Office.
2. A reminder that NPL, a subcontractor for Eversource, is installing a gas main from the intersection of Main Street and Derby Avenue running East to the intersection of New Haven Avenue and Washington Street. Work should be completed by the end of September. The majority of work takes place between 7:00 pm and 5:00 am on weekdays. Detours on side streets in that area are possible. Police will be on hand to re-route traffic.
3. The Summer Concert Series on the Derby Green will begin on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 7 pm to 9 pm. The first concert will feature Classic Rock with Tony Susi. The entire schedule can be found on the City’s Website.
4. The Derby 350th Anniversary Committee will host a City/All-Class Reunion and Block Party on Saturday, August 30, 2025, on Elizabeth Street in front of the Derby Elks Club and Fuego Wine Bar. There will be food for sale and a chance to enjoy the fabulous sounds of the AG3 Band. Come join us for this epic reunion of old friends, neighbors, classmates and fellow Derbyites old and new.
