ANSONIA – The Friends of the Ansonia Nature Center (FANCI) is hoping to pull off their annual Autumn Festival. However, they may be unable to hold this large-scale event this year due to a decline in volunteer participation.
It takes a lot of help from volunteers to make our annual festivals a reality. Organizations like ours are seeing a deficit in adult volunteerism. Unfortunately, this trend has affected us here, too, and we are at a crossroads of whether we can host this year’s Autumn Fest at the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center. We rely primarily on the volunteers who assist FANCI for our festivals.
We are in need of volunteers for our Autumn Fest, which will take place on Saturday, October 18th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Interested individuals and groups can click HERE to email for information on the types of help we need with Autumn Fest.
