Hilda Elena Rodriguez Santiago, age 74, of Derby, entered into rest on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on December 10, 1950, daughter of the late Alberto and Paula (Santiago) Rodriguez. Hilda loved cooking and listening to music, especially the oldies. She also enjoyed watching Judge Judy and Chicago P.D. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.
Hilda was the beloved mother of Nilda Santos and sister of Carmen Solman, Paulita Rodriguez and Gloria Galarza. She was the loving grandmother of Tiffany, Derrick and his fiancée Deja, Deon, Tito and Antonio, and great grandmother of Rylie, Mia, Evelina and Aurora. She is also lovingly remembered by Marcella, her late son Tito Jr.’s partner, along with several nieces and nephews.
Hilda was predeceased by her longtime love Tito Santos, son Tito Santos Jr. and six siblings, Isabel Torres, Myrna Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, George Rodriguez, Carlos Rodriguez and Richie Rodriguez.
On Wednesday, friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Thursday, her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Her burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
