DERBY — Voters on Nov. 4 will be asked to approve $6.5 million in borrowing in a capital needs referendum.

One of the items on the list is the replacement of the HVAC system at Derby Public Library for $400,000.

The library scheduled an open house from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The public can inquire about the library’s needs.

Derby Public Library is at 313 Elizabeth St.

The flyer above and the post below were posted to the library’s Facebook page on Sept. 26:

“Derby Public Library is dedicated to providing quality service to patrons and to contribute to the knowledge, culture, understanding and enjoyment of the community. We can only provide our best service when the Library is in tip-top shape and the HVAC system is in dire need of an upgrade/replacement.

The cost of repairs is included in the 5 year Capital Plan for the City of Derby.

Visit Us to see the growing community this plan will support!”
