Mary A. (Manzone) Kopasz, age 97, entered eternal rest on October 26, 2025, at Wesley Village in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of seventy-one years to the late Joseph A. Kopasz.

Born at home in Ansonia on October 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Pasqualina Pergola Manzone. Mary was raised in Ansonia and graduated from Ansonia High School before moving to Shelton for the last seventy-five years. She was employed at the former Fulton Market in Shelton then later as a deli clerk at Stop and Shop, also in Shelton. Mary loved to travel, especially across Europe, enjoying the sights of Italy and Germany. Mary was a member of the Ansonia Senior Center where she enjoyed playing bingo daily with her friends. She also liked trips to the casino to try her luck.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Andrew Kopasz (Denise) of Eastham, MA, her daughter, Carol Konwerski (James) of Seymour, brother, George Manzone (Sandy) of Beacon Falls, sister, Nancy Nimons of Ansonia, grandchildren, Brian Konwerski of Seymour, Michael Konwerski (Amanda) of Prospect, Jennifer Peterson (Jess) of Auburn, MA and Nicholas Kopasz of Pepperell, MA, great-grandchildren, Noah, Jackson, and Myles Golden and Henry Konwerski, sister-in-law, Adele Manzone of Ansonia along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Salvatore “Lefty” Manzone and Paul Manzone, sister, Domenica “Mickey” Faiella, brothers-in-law, Harold Nimons and Anthony Faiella, and sister-in-law, Mary Manzone. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 9:00-10:30 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Her funeral will then proceed to St. Joseph Church in Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
