Dario Marinelli, age 76, entered eternal rest on October 29, 2025, at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Care Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. He was the beloved husband of Regina (Sardo) Marinelli.

Born in Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy on June 15, 1949, he was the son of the late Nicola and Antonella (Ruffini) Marinelli. Dario was a resident of Beacon Falls for many years before moving to Southbury where he resided for the past ten years. He was employed as a machinist for AVCO Lycoming in Stratford for seventeen years. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Army. Dario possessed a unique talent for working with his hands. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and could fix almost anything. Dario loved spending time outdoors enjoying nature. He was also a member of the Lemko Club in Ansonia.

In addition to his wife Regina, Dario leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Nicola Marinelli (Warren) of Lakewood, CO, a daughter, Carrie Marinelli of Ansonia, brother, Arnold Marinelli of FL, sister, Adriana Carlson of FL, daughter-in-law, Lindsey Marinelli of FL, grandchildren, Amelia Dias of Ansonia, and Brayden Marinelli of FL, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Marinelli, brothers, Enzo, Paul, Dominick, and Elmo Marinelli and sisters, Paula David and Lucy Nocella.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside funeral service on Friday, November 7, 2025, by meeting directly at 1:00 pm in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
