SHELTON – Police arrested a man they said killed a dog and admitted to it on video.

Michael Anziano, 47, was arrested Oct. 30 and charged with first-degree malicious killing of an animal, according to a press release.
Police said they received a report regarding Anziano from animal control. The animal control report said Anziano had admitted in a video to killing a dog.
Shelton detectives opened an investigation, during which they obtained additional video allegedly showing Anziano, along with the deceased dog in a garbage bag.
Anziano was released on a $75,000 bond, according to the state judicial website. His next court date is Nov. 14 at Superior Court in Derby.
