SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from Nov. 3, 2025 through Nov. 9, 2025.
Seymour police received 230 calls for service and made five arrests.
NOV. 3, 2025
12:38 a.m. Police issued a misdemeanor to a driver on New Haven Road (Route 67).
7:30 a.m. A Roosevelt Drive business owner told police a landscaping company continues to blow garbage from the nearby Dunkin Donuts onto his property and into the road on Route 34. An officer left a message for the landscaping company to discuss the complaint.
12:12 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a minor motor vehicle accident in the Klarides Village parking lot on Bank Street.
2:09 p.m. A Bank Street business owner reported a shoplifting incident to police.
3:36 p.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on Pearl Street.
4:07 p.m. Police were notified about an injured squirrel and contacted the animal control officer to assist.
NOV. 4, 2025
6:01 a.m. A Moss Avenue resident told police she looked out her window and saw someone moving inside her vehicle. The resident told police there was no damage and nothing was taken. An officer said a man entered the vehicle, which was unlocked, around 4 a.m.
6:33 a.m. Police received multiple calls about an injured deer in the middle of Holbrook Road.
7:27 a.m. A caller told police a brown Yorkshire Terrier was running in and out of the road near the intersection of West and Cedar streets. Police said the dog was gone upon their arrival.
2:20 p.m. A caller reported a large, rolled-up object was in the middle of the road near McDonald’s on Bank Street. An officer retrieved the object, which was a sign belonging to Cast Iron Pizza in Klarides Village, and returned it to the business.
6:49 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a minor motor vehicle accident at Wakeley and Main streets. No injuries were reported.
NOV. 5, 2025
10:26 a.m. Police were called to a medical emergency at a residence on Chamberlin Road.
3:05 p.m. A Chamberlin Road resident told police a white male with blonde hair was walking around her property, checking door handles, while she was at work. The resident told police she saw the man on her Ring video camera. An officer checked the area and said nothing appeared to be disturbed.
3:07 p.m. A Walnut Street resident told police someone was texting her and threatening to get her in trouble at work.
5:15 p.m. Police charged a 33-year-old Seymour woman with first-degree failure to appear.
8:40 p.m. An employee from Newport Healthcare facility on Roosevelt Drive told police a 15-year-old client was destroying his room and the employee was unable to approach the teenager. Police said an ambulance was called to transport the client to the hospital for an evaluation.
11:50 p.m. Police issued a verbal warning to a driver at the intersection of New Haven Road (Route 67) and Spruce Street.
NOV. 6, 2025
2:53 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Maple Street.
3:12 p.m. An employee with JV Precision Machine Co. in the Silvermine Industrial Park told police two suspicious males approached the factory and asked if they could buy any old materials, wires or tools. The employee said the men gave her a fake company name and did not have a proper business card.
7:21 p.m. A Humphrey Street resident told police a man was walking up and down the street, attempting to get into people’s homes. Police said the man was gone upon their arrival.
8:07 p.m. A George Street resident told police she found a camera in her house that she did not know was there.
NOV. 7, 2025
6:26 a.m. A caller told police someone in a dark colored Hyundai was sitting in front of a house on Walnut Street, watching her daughter get on the school bus, and asked police to check it out.
8:02 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at Maple Street and Rimmon Road.
10:07 a.m. An employee from Basement Systems told police a terminated employee was making harassing phone calls to the business. Police said the ex-employee was advised to stop calling the business.
1:15 p.m. A Tracy Terrace resident reported a case of credit fraud to police.
5:35 p.m. A Bungay Terrace resident told police someone driving a gold-colored vehicle was driving slowly through the area. Police said the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.
6:41 p.m. Police charged a 31-year-old New Haven man with a parole violation in another state.
11:50 p.m. A caller told police there were several intoxicated individuals causing a disturbance at Cast Iron Pizza in Klarides Village, saying they refused to pay their tab and attempted to break a window on their way out of the restaurant.
NOV. 8, 2025
12:20 a.m. Police charged a 46-year-old Seymour woman with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
8:20 a.m. A New Street resident told police someone struck her father’s vehicle during the overnight hours.
12:18 p.m. A Maple Street resident told police someone driving a truck with a trailer on the back backed into his retaining wall.
1:10 p.m. Police received a walk-in complaint from a North Street resident who said she may have been the victim of identity theft.
4:33 p.m. Police received a complaint about a man who was yelling and stepping in and out of traffic on Roosevelt Drive (Route 34).
5:20 p.m. A Brookfield Road resident told police a group of ATVs were riding up and down the street. Police said the ATVs were gone upon their arrival.
11:47 p.m. A caller told police someone was driving erratically on Bank Street. Police said the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.
NOV. 9, 2025
3:33 a.m. A Heritage Drive resident told police a dark-colored SUV with kids in it was driving slowly through the area, as if canvassing the area. Police said the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.
11:35 a.m. A South Main Street resident asked police for assistance in getting his girlfriend to leave the house.
4:04 p.m. Police were called about downed traffic cones on Bungay Road. An officer placed the cones back in an upright position.
4:18 p.m. Police conducted radar enforcement on Great Hill Road for about 30 minutes. No motor vehicle stops were made.
8:48 p.m. A caller told police two strange males in SUVs were hanging out on Maple Street. An officer said the men were waiting for a tow truck and there were no issues.
9:59 p.m. A caller told police someone was pacing up and down in the parking lot of a church on Mountain Road. Police said the person was transported to the hospital.
