SEYMOUR — In an effort to alleviate food insecurity and hunger locally, and in response to the prolonged federal government shut down which affected SNAP benefits, State Representative Nicole Klarides-Ditria (R-105) proudly announced that she is teaming up with her sister, former House Republican Leader Themis Klarides, and the Route 67 Family Dineron Saturday, December 6th from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. to collect non-perishable food items to benefit the Seymour Oxford Food Bank!

This one-day community event will take place at the Route 67 Family Diner located in the Klarides Village Plaza at 13 Klarides Village Dr, Seymour.

Everyone is encouraged to stop by to say hello and, if they’re able, drop off a non-perishable food item, paper goods, or toiletry item to benefit families-in-need right here in our community. All donations and proceeds will directly benefit Seymour Oxford Food Bank Inc!

“The volunteers at the food bank always work so hard to help others and we’re excited to partner with them to collect much-needed food and supplies to further their mission,” Rep. Klarides-Ditria said. “Themis and I are also pet lovers and we encourage people to “think outside the can” and consider pet food donations for people’s furry friends!”
